“‘Are you still willing to help me?’

‘I am,’ said Mr. Butterbur. ‘More than ever. Though I don’t know what the likes of me can do against, against—’ he faltered.

‘Against the Shadow in the East,’ said Strider quietly. ‘Not much, Barliman, but every little helps.’”

Was told today that, since the pay-walling of Cirencester Park ten months ago, there has been a 72% reduction in people visiting.

That's 72% fewer people accessing their green space, getting less fit, getting more stressed, all to financially benefit one of the wealthiest aristocrats in Britain.

Apropos of nothing in particular: I know some people prefer videos, but if you must do a video guide to <thing>, please also do a written piece so that those of us who don't want to sit through a long video can scan the written piece for the bits we need. Thank you.

I worry that BlueSky won’t survive a repeat of the Biscuit Definition Wars that plagued early Twitter.

We may be about to unleash an unimaginable horror once again.
You are all saying 'but Cadbury's chocolate fingers', yet I question whether those are, philosophically and topologically, true biscuits.

They aren't hats, they are elevensies, this is like a biscuit behind the ear.
Showed this to my wife as I put on my ripped denim jeans at weekend. If the orcas can bring back salmon hat, fade wash ripped denim is overdue.

Are we doing those old-school, meandering, ludicrous threads here? They were the best thing about ol’ Twitter.

And, hoo boy, have I got one for you.

Buckle up. We need to talk about Gromit.

All these starter packs are making me feel like I’m in TKMaxx:
- Sure, I don’t *need* to follow the ‘history of birdsong before 1920’ pack…
- But I went in for a t-shirt , walked past it & thought ‘why not?’

Never underestimate the damage Braverman does. Not just to the vulnerable people she targets. But to all of us. She’s a malignancy in our society and we all suffer the side effects. Whether our reaction is anger, despair, fear or loathing, it’s all harm. A relentless assault on our wellbeing.
