Nach dem Terroranschlag von Wien 2020, der zu einem kurzzeitigen Inseratenstopp großer Lebensmittelkonzerne führte, habe ich die vorsichtige Prognose gewagt, dass Österreichs Boulevardmedien im Umgang mit brutalem und heroisierendem Bildmaterial dazugelernt hätten. Offenbar war das ein Irrtum.

Some quick take-aways
1) Merz’ strategy doesn’t pay off (as political scientists predicted), neither in terms of vote share, nor in terms of coalition options.
2) SPD gets worst result in party’s long history. That’s it for Scholz obviously… and accommodation on immigration didn’t pay off, did it?

Ich habe das nie geglaubt, aber es stimmt. Jetzt sehne auch ich mich nach aus der Mode gekommenen Werten vergangener Zeiten. Demokratie, Gleichberechtigung und Medienfreiheit etwa.
