So, to my shame as an adult, I was once (while a teenager) a dues paying member of Mensa. And I went to a few meetings. And the smartest guy there was a janitor who worked at a college to get free classes for fun.
Honestly a bit inspirational to me. Almost Zen Buddhist in his outlook on life.

Just because someone is rich it doesn't mean they are smart. Generations upon generations of the smartest people the world has ever seen died as farmers in obscurity. We only get to know about the people with the money and power who were written about. They're powerful, not smart.
