A "1-in-300 year" rainfall (0.3% annual chance of occurrence) in parts of southern #Thailand has resulted in some of the country's most extensive flooding since 2011. Nearly 1 million homes have been affected.

Ross' s Landing in Chattanooga to Oklahoma. Some 4000 Cherokees died before reaching Oklahoma. There is a 'weeping wall' representing the tears shed as the Cherokee were driven from their homes and removed on the Trail of Tears.

After digging in at Orchard Knob, Sherman conducted attacks on the Confederate lines from the north, with success - but finding the ridgeline separated. Hooker diverted resources at the south, and Henry Thomas assaulted the rifle pits at the base of Missionary ridge.

I hope to re-ignite the tradition if I get to host large thanksgiving of making a duck as well as a turkey.
My mom's father always wanted duck instead of turkey - and hosted 20 people. Watching his duck on his rotisserie on Thanksgiving morning was always a treat.
