Unvaccinated infants are the second most likely group to get hospitalized for Covid after older adults. Any effort to minimize the effectiveness for kids is evil.

I think the late Mr. Lee was fine with my being upset about people being maskless in public, actually.

Let's use "racially marginalized people are more likely to have Long Covid" as a reason to be angrier at, not more accepting of, the maskless.

Thank you. I think a lack of media coverage of ICE's current violence in LA is like how so many people just assumed Flint's water was fixed.

Because if there's a deadly crisis still going on, the media would report it, right?

Just like how the media reminds people to wear respirators for Covid! 🙃
ICE has been raiding my neighborhood and surrounding ones for the last couple of weeks now. They commandeered my local church (against the pastor's will) for a staging site and raided supermarkets, parks, Goodwills, bus stops, you name it.

The national media's been silent. So has @mayor.lacity.gov.
Engagement on our updates re: ICE kidnappings/fed siege of Los Angeles is significantly lower on Bluesky compared to Twitter. Do ppl on here not care about LA anymore? Are feeds being taken over by liberal commentators? What's going on?

Community members on the ground can't do it all. We need help.

I have heard it said
that the reason
why so many people
have sore throats right now
is because they have
not washed their travel mugs,
and while people should remember
to regularly wash their travel mugs,
I fear an unwashed mug
isn’t why their throats are sore.

"You mean 'during lockdown,' meaning that the government only cared because productive able-bodied workers were dying of it."

That so many people are blinkered to the murderous activities of capitalism at this stage is baffling and deeply frustrating.

If you still mask & talk about covid I just want to say thank you. It makes me feel less alone as a disabled person. I know it’s mostly disabled people advocating for themselves but most people either abandoned us lot ago or never stood by us. We have to stand together as we always have. 🤎

No.

Our mask requirement is not "virtue signalling".

It's protecting a) the cancer patient and b) the child who is still too small to wear a mask.

And also--and I can't emphasize this strongly enough--you.

If Covid were really over, or “no big deal”, masks wouldn’t anger people.

No one cared when you wore a mask before the pandemic.

People are irrationally angry at those of us still masking, because it reminds them of their failure to adapt. Of the risk they’re taking.

They can’t cope with it.

The Daily Mail has run a number of attack pieces on Violet Affleck after her incredible UN speech advocating for COVID protections including masks and clean air.

These attack pieces including a poll on masking in medical facilities. The result? An overwhelming 76% of people support requiring masks!

If you're lucky enough to find a life partner who not only SAYS they want you to be safe & healthy, but ENSURES that you stay that way, give them extra hugs & loves today. My husband,
@mcollinsmorton.bsky.social, does this every day for me. And I do it for him. We don't "have" to. We WANT to. 💕

Any actual Covid safe person has been living without taking the CDC seriously for years now. This means nothing. This would have meant something if the CDC gave a fuck about HIV killing gay people and promoted respirators during our CURRENT ONGOING Covid pandemic.

I’ve heard from a couple of messaging strategists now that people shouldn’t post so much about COVID19 vaccines because it’s “divisive”.

I am here to say that I do not give a damn what is popular.

I will never ignore scientific evidence for the sake of expediency, and neither should anyone else.

I'll make it easy to determine if you are at high risk from COVID.

Are you alive?

If you answer YES, then you are at high risk.

If asked at a pharmacy if you have a high-risk condition, say yes. There's no need to tell them which condition you have.

If you are worried about losing access to the Covid vaccine but are not taking the most basic step to avoid infection, which is masking, color me confused.
There are lots of rumors flying around about what might happen to COVID vaccine access, but please note we still do not have any official news yet.

While we wait, there are things you can do:
1️⃣ Wear a mask to prevent COVID transmission
2️⃣ Push your elected officials to speak up about vaccine access

Again, it is possible to eliminate Covid for good. People need to wear a good airtight respirator, like the one in my photo, for a few weeks whenever they're in public.

I have been doing so nonstop for years because the vast majority of folks love destroying their bodies by masklessness.

It's pissing me off to see all these maskless fools crying over Covid vaccines being withheld from them.

If they actually took effective Covid prevention seriously, respirators would be their priority.

Covid vaxx never stopped infection. My well fitting respirator has always stopped infection. 🤦🏻‍♀️

No, you've normalized getting airborne AIDS.

Most people wouldn't find "I never drive drunk ever" to be extreme, nor "I always wear my seatbelt in the car. Nonstop."

Covid infections are at least as dangerous. If you feel fine now, your body will be destroyed soon
If you eat in indoor restaurants ever, you're NOT Covid safe.

This fool enrages me.

I bet they don't even wear their KN95 consistently

And they are wondering why their brain and body are so damaged from 5+ infections

My infection count? 0. I do not breathe other people's air except by respirator
