There it is. I'm glad he came out and said it. This is exactly the belief that fuels MAGA. More than homophobia, more than pro-life, more even than Christianity.

You will fucking respect me and no force is too excessive if you don't because I deserve some fucking respect.
Q: "Do you believe that deadly force was necessary?"

Trump: "It was highly disrespectful of law enforcement. The woman and her friend were highly disrespectful of law enforcement…Law enforcement should not be in a position where they have to put up with this stuff."

Trump tried to overturn an election and keep classified documents as souvenirs so he got federally prosecuted, and he used this to convince his base that law enforcement was weaponized against him — and now weaponizes law enforcement against those he dislikes without them caring.
“The U.S. attorney’s office in the District of Columbia has opened a criminal investigation into Jerome H. Powell, the Federal Reserve chair, over the central bank’s renovation of its Washington headquarters and whether Mr. Powell lied to Congress about the scope of the project…”

The sign on Kristi Noem's podium reads "One of ours, all of yours." The reader will recall that this was a fascist rallying cry in the Spanish Civil War. What it means is that one of "our" people is worth all of "your" people.

When Renee Good said "I'm not mad at you" what the ICE goon heard was "I'm not scared of you."

That's what enraged him. The populace wasn't fully terrorized and cowed into submission yet, so he acted to make that happen.

Mark and Melissa Hortman were devout Catholics.

Renee Nicole Good was described as a devout Christian (perhaps Presbyterian given earlier mission work?)

In America you drop your kid off at school, get your brains blown out on the ride home, then the Vice President drops everything for a week to call you a terrorist, to slander your family, to protect the circumstances that led to your death so they can do it again. It is government by Alex Jones.

they didn’t leak it to make the shooter look innocent, but to make the victim look guilty. not guilty of a crime. guilty of having a visibly queer wife. guilty of liberalism. guilty of opposing the regime. they don’t seek to exonerate themselves, only to demonstrate who deserves to die.
In the video that the shooter took, which I believe was leaked to be exculpatory, he appears to yell “fucking bitch” after he shoots Renee Good.

Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.

In my book I wrote about research from NYU’s Eric Knowles and others into the “minority collusion” fear: that White Republicans in particular have a bizarre idea that non-Whites act collectively against Whites.

Also, I wonder if people get how strange it is that Bovino keeps showing up on all these raids.

He's one of the top-most CBP officials there is. It'd be like if NYPD Commish Tisch kept putting on body armor to do small drug raids in NYC all the time.

Lays bare that this is all about spectacle.
I always thought the term "cosplaying" was overused until ICE/CBP started showing up everywhere. Look at this guy, does he think it's Fallujah? (It's a high school in Minneapolis).

oldhead advice from an oldhead.

every couple years, newcomers to the movement think "THIS is finally it, the moment when the dam breaks and the whole system is overthrown"

and when it doesn't happen they lose patience and get disillusioned and drop out of movement work

gotta build for long term

In 2019, I moved to Minneapolis for law school. My wife and I felt lucky to buy a house in a beautiful, vibrant part of the city. This is now the second murder by law enforcement in my neighborhood. to become national news.

- I am so proud of my neighbors

I think we are seeing that the government does believe it has the right to murder US citizens as it sees fit.

If they didn’t, it’d be pretty simple to sacrifice this one agent and go back to kidnapping.
