Huge respect to the papers for finding both an 88 year old worried about the tax bill on her 6 bedroom Kensington house and a 20 year old fretting about only being able to save £12k a year tax free.
Top work all around. These are not easy case studies to find.

Always remember, Labour were willing to save the Scunthorpe steel works, but not Grangemouth or Mossmorran & their Energy Profits Levy is destroying investment, livelihoods & jobs in Aberdeen & the north east.

There is truly no surer sign of being trapped in the Westminster bubble thank thinking that the person to reverse Labour's tanking poll numbers is Wes Streeting.

I support Sir Keir Starmer.

He is our PM and must remain as PM.

This speculation about his future needs to stop.

The media have it in for him and he is actually doing a bloody good job.

vanish if they change leader? Sure, some issues may go away, but of course they'll be replaced with new ones which people will get upset about. The trouble with Labour for most of the press is that it's in government. So fight to change the electoral system be all means, so you can then vote for

The trouble I have is he's no where near as bad as the polling and media make out. There are areas of fundamental weakness but Labour are still delivering on most manifesto promises (I'll attach a link for those who immediately deny this fact). So do we really think criticisms will just magically

You never really hear of the things the government are getting done, the bills they have pushed through. Instead the media amplifies the errors 10x and spout continuous nonsense from certain individuals to whip up hatred. I try not to pay attention to news anymore.

What about his significant parliamentary majority or the damage the Tories did by swapping PMs at will during the last administration? Are they relevant measures?

This is just hyperbole and poor by your standards James.

Nil carborundum! James.

The country might be close to ungovernable at the moment, but if we lose Starmer, then Labour, to Tory/Reform we are Hungary or Trump's USA.

Some people want that. Don't do their job for them.

Courage, mon brave!

Maybe some see that repeating things said on social media, that aren't really based on anything that happened in the *real world*, rather than looking at what the actual policies and legislation being passed are, might not be as snappy a comeback as you thought.

Apparently quietly getting on with implementing some positive policies, working to repair 14 years worth of neglect to every part of our society and repairing our international reputation and relationships isn't what we all voted for just over a year ago. We wanted light entertainment and snake oil.

Starmer certainly isn't a populist sloganeer along the lines of Wolfie Polanski or a serial liar and grifter like Nigel Fagash but what is it that he's done that makes his position "untenable"?
Beware those interesting times if the right wing press get their man.

The weekly polls promoting a 4-5 seat party, the live coverage of ever utterance of said party across the media …and the same media’s off shoot podcasts …and relentless negative speculation, served up as ‘news’ for 16 months solid. No respect for the folk who voted for Labour under Keir Starmer
