Over-educated SAHM.
A month without Starbucks has saved me a ton of money. I refuse to buy Starbucks until @sbworkersunited.org get their fair contract. I hope it happens sooner than later; our baristas work so hard and deserve better pay and fair treatment!

I unapologetically love Starbucks. I go there every morning and many afternoons. I’m a shareholder. However, I also don’t believe in crossing a picket line, so I haven’t been to a Starbucks since November 12th, even though I have a go hunting for other coffee I don’t like as much in the morning.

Every morning I look up whether the strike is still going and get disappointed that #Starbucks still hasn’t come to the table to treat their workers fairly, and thus cannot have my business for another day.
Workers in all industries have more in common with each other than the executives making millions. Solidarity with everyone who is not crossing the line or buying Starbucks while we’re on a ULP strike! Special thanks to @Teamsters, for not crossing the picket line and standing with us✊

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

I’ve been in newborn heaven and only occasionally checking on the world outside my bubble. But in order to keep my peace and not spiral into PPA, I’ll be logging off for a while.

Enough is enough. Our children deserve to live freely and safely in their schools and places of worship without the threat of gun violence. Our hearts are with the entire Minneapolis community as they grapple with this horrific act of mass gun violence.

These incidents were unfounded or debunked as swatting threats, but the fear and panic that they cause is REAL. When guns are the #1 killer of college-aged people in America, even false alarms are traumatic.

This is the reality that gun extremist lawmakers are forcing us to endure. buff.ly/vP1GrLe

I would like to amplify this post by 1000x because Reuters f'd up this story to start with -- by falsely reporting that Costco would no longer carry mifepristone, when it never did -- and other news outlets ran with it and far-right legal groups are taking credit for something that didn't happen.
This is not a massive decision or any kind of change. Costco has never carried mifepristone in its pharmacies. An anti-abortion group is taking credit for something that didn't happen, possibly to generate disingenuous left-wing ire against one of the few corporations that hasn't gone MAGA.

Now, I'm running for the U.S. Senate to make sure all Iowans have a shot at theirs.

Is this really the country we want—a nation that jails women for not miscarrying ‘properly’? Every lawmaker who made these arrests possible owes us an answer. So does every anti-abortion activist claiming they don’t want to punish women.

These arrests—this torture—is no accident. It’s by design.

After the flood in Texas last week, I looked up my own town’s emergency alert system. We don’t really have one. 🥴 Apparently there was discussion to have sirens, but they decided it would cause too much confusion and instead they will rely on weather radios… I don’t know anyone with a weather radio.
