Just to riff. I think it's important to remember that before Bernie 2016, the (left) organizing world had really embraced intersectionality as at least nominally aspirational.
And a lot of the past decade of the popular "left" has been white dead ender dudes trying to hijack it all.

i had an overwatch game earlier this month with a played named "charliekirk"., the entire lobby was cracking jokes until he rage quit, and then continued even more after. 10/10 gameplay experience
I just sniped a kid in Overwatch and he wrote "ohhh Kirked me" and I just found out they're using that as shorthand for a good snipe HOLY SHIT LOL
