1/In 2021, I wrote for Internationale Politik Quarterly about the need for the EU to implement strong competition regulation in form of the #DMA in the face of consistent anti-competitive behaviors by - esp. US - big tech companies. It's still really relevant...

Most Americans think the system is broken and that Democrats overpromise and underdeliver. So 2028 won’t be a rerun of the 2020 ideas primary. It’ll be about your theory of power: the Senate, gerrymandering, and the media ecosystem we have to govern in.

The 2028 “Ideas Primary” Probably Won’t Be About Ideas

“Simplifying rules is not the same as weakening protections or giving up on regulation…it [the #Omnibus] is a kind of Trumpist approach against being stable…” #bigtech #competition

Tonight, we did something everyone counted out. We proved to a nation that states like Tennessee are still worth fighting for. The margin was close, and that can only be attributed to the thousands of volunteers who showed out. This is just the beginning.

This is a bad deal, and the old way of doing things is clearly not working.

We need new leaders in the Senate.

Indeed. Until progressives in the Senate Democratic caucus directly challenge Schumer’s leadership it’s kind of hard to take their grousing seriously at this point. They are all in on this #SchumerSurrender politics.
Hey just a reminder that it only takes 23 Senate Democrats to remove and replace Chuck Schumer as minority leader. They don't do it because the majority of Senate Democrats approve of the way he does politics.

This is a strange hack punditry, in which everything anyone does is the Democratic Party's fault. Dems' mistakes are their fault. Repubs' mistakes are the Dems' fault for not stopping them.

No party is perfect. But we should examine their actual actions. You can't learn anything from this punditry.
This isn’t true. I was there.

This is a sensitive topic, but an important one: when we talk about disinformation & propaganda we (rightly) think of Russia.
But how should we react when our partners - specifically the US - uses its information channels to attack our values or laws and aims to increase societal divisions?

Decision Desk has called both of Georgia's statewide races, for public service commissioner, for Democrats.

If confirmed, this would be a really huge win for Democrats:

It'd be their first statewide win in any non-federal race since 2006!
