I’m telling you, there’s just not enough outrage about the craven actions of Speaker Mike Johnson.
Grijalva: I was looking at the example of now-Representative Walkinshaw from Virginia, who was elected two weeks ago Tuesday. The following Wednesday—less than 24 hours later—he was sworn in, with unofficial results.

So for me, apparently the rules have now changed in just two weeks.

Only an administration intent on committing war crimes in the present and future would stoop to calling Wounded Knee a "battle" rather than what it truly was: a massacre of over 250 Lakotas, mainly women, children, and the elderly. 1/

Look how quickly the Vice President of the United States pivoted to portraying Stephen Miller(!) as a victim of the press.

All because a reporter stated the obvious truth about Miller’s hate-mongering.

MAGA = constant victimology and grievances.

Judge in the lower federal courts are trying to play a role that are not used to, trying to wake up the public to what's going on, while remaining true to their constitutional role.
NEW: I analyzed nearly 300 federal cases involving the Trump administration. Federal judges—across the political spectrum—are using language I’ve never seen before. One called government actions “unconscionable.” Another quoted Kafka. They’re begging us to pay attention.

A colleague at Stanford’s business school used The Stanford Daily to argue—poorly—against DEI. The piece was riddled with historical errors and left one searching for fact, so I broke my public writing hiatus to respond.

I hope you’ll read and share the piece.

What DEI threatens isn’t merit. It’s monopoly.
Political science professor Hakeem Jefferson argues for DEI's importance to de-monopolizing universities.

Well, that doesn't sound like a good idea. Lots of us historians recall well how important getting regular food inspections and regulations into federal hands was in US history... same with emissions and pollution inspections and data collection, which are also about to downshifted by the EPA.

Here’s what RFK Jr. has done since a measles outbreak began which has killed 3 people so far:

1. Buried a CDC report showing need for vaccination

2. Recommended vitamin A, resulting in liver damage in kids

3. Defunded vaccination clinics nationally

4. Hired a fraud to manipulate vaccine data

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.
