But that’s the point. They’d rather have a miserable cis child than a happy trans one, rather a depressed straight child than a happy gay one. These things are not enforced to make people happy, but to reinforce the white supremacist ideal of heteronormative gender roles & the nuclear family

When I was younger I didn’t know trans men existed. I didn’t know it was an option, and I felt alone and hopeless that I would never have a body that I felt comfortable in.
Hiding the existence of gay and trans people doesn’t make kids straight or cis, it just makes gay and trans kids miserable
