I have been looking around for likeminded people in my profession and collecting them like seaglass. They exist, but they're beaten down, and the good, tough, beautiful work is not incentivized or funded in the journalism business right now. I hope that changes soon.

The difference between Bluesky and Twitter isn't that there are no crappy people here; this place has 840k users as of this instant, it's impossible some of them won't be trolls, creeps or malign. The difference is the ethos here is "Don't engage, just block." The moment the mask comes off, block.
