Importantly, this wouldn't have passed without Dem support. There was enough of a split within Republican ranks that if Dems had voted against the bill it would've been doa. Giving Trump a blank check to warmonger *and* passing an anti-trans measure was a choice.

Again, matters little when people are being harmed now. Hard to get redress when you're six feer under or deported to another courty.
We should be using everything we have access to to stop fascist policies, including courts, but I am so weary of the *well actually* crowd not reading the room.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

I think we should state plainly that this is selfish on its face.
