Nobody's clamouring for AI games, nobody's mad that games don't feature AI, there's a total and utter lack of demand for it. The only demand is from business heads who think it'll save them money, audiences and creatives are rejecting it.

seeing reviewers go to pacman world 2 repac "is $30 really worth it for 6-7 hours of gameplay" and "its not expansive and ambitious like a modern platformer needs to be" is making me go feral. A 6-7 hour campaign is GOOD. A normal platformer with A-to-B structure is GOOD. yall are brain poisoned

I'll never let this influence me. AI in fiction is about disability and racialization and body autonomy. Data and the UIs in Pantheon and Horobi from Zero-Onen have nothing to do with large language models and everything to do with things that happen to real people.
one unfortunate outcome of this recent AI scam bubble is that it has absolutely killed my interest in AI's in fiction. the Alien tv show doing the whole "is AI a human" routine we've been doing for the last hundred years but now I'm like no, it's a shitty chatbot that destroys fresh water

Twin Peaks is my favorite show and its film, Fire Walk With Me, is one of my favorite movies. And a large part of the reason why was that through the darkness, through the surreality, through the drama and horror there was a profound empathy for those who are abused. Lynch had so much empathy
