I went down to the lobby to find out what “Grab & Go Breakfast” meant at this hotel. Turns out it’s a small bag of popcorn, a cup of water, and an extra helping of disappointment.

Was on my way back to the states today when my connecting flight got canceled so with the help of my wife I got a hotel and did what anyone else stuck in New York City would do. I decided to try some of New York City's finest slices and ordered from Domino's.

I arrived in Canada a month ago. I tried every food and ate every chocolate bar. I married my best friend and saw many sights. I’m leaving in the morning and I’ll be gone for a time but “for a time” only means for a minute. I’m leaving my heart, so you know I’ll be back. A man can’t live without it.

When I became a film critic, my goal was to write reviews in a way that anybody could understand what I thought while injecting a little humor along the way. I wanted to ditch the technical speak and have a conversation with the reader, after all, I’m a fan too. Stay tuned.

We need to bring physical media back in a big way. It’s great we can get what we want on digital, sure, but how am I going to organize my Blu-ray’s by genre and then alphabetically without hard copies?

I’m a horror writer and critic and it can sometimes be tricky to buy gifts for me, unless your name is @roxiqt.com. She nails it every time. I’m so excited to crack this open with a coffee and a blanket.

Getting to be myself (100% unfiltered myself) for the past four weeks has been weird and incredible. I’m 40 years old and I’ve always had to filter my personality around others. That’s not how any of us should have to live. Find your people- the ones who love who you are. That’s where you belong.

I’ve wanted this for years. Take us chapter to chapter until the bloody tale is over. This is extremely exciting to me. Kill Bill is Tarantino’s best, hands down. Sure, that’s controversial but as one film it can’t be beat. Long live The Bride. Long live Beatrix Kiddo.

This week two clients got “the call” and we’re ending the week wrangling up their contracts.
I know publishing feels harder than ever lately, but good things are still happening, and great books are still being scooped up.
Hang in there. ❤️

I have an interview next week for a volunteer position that I really want but I haven't been interviewed in a really long time and I'm pretty sure I am going to show up to the interview like "how do you do, fellow adults?"

When I was a kid there were no private phone calls, there was an eight foot leash in the middle of the kitchen where everyone got to viciously judge you.
