It is impossible to overstate the degree to which the entire national political media's coverage of the 2024 presidential campaign, especially once Harris won the nomination, was deeply, fundamentally, shamefully unserious about the stakes & the candidates.
I can still recall all the tut-tutting from the media when Harris made this argument.

I had a friend (maybe now former friend) who insisted that Jan 6 was exaggerated and that it was incited by deep state agitators. I pointed out that the biggest agitator was Trump himself, and he got real quiet. They know. They're hoping you'll forget.
And then there's this video, of officers talking with each other about what they just witnessed.
