I know that many other cities don’t plow their sidewalks, leaving it up to property owners. This is completely crazy to me.

Our sidewalk plows look like this and they do a pretty good job.

We are talking about $25-30k for an initial start on a playground replacement for what the city yanked out w/o notice, & the city only has around 10k for it now. This kills me. We throw MILLIONS at the police w/o questioning in this city. Can we have some of their unused budget?

. @katiecashman.bsky.social encouraged us to contact the mayor’s office to fund this in his budget. “i’m all for this. you have my 100%,” but we need @mayor.minneapolismn.gov to support a new loring greenway playground

As the spring bike season begins, I’m starting to see gaps in bike parking. Don’t forget - the city will 50% cost share bike parking for businesses. Send this to your business owner friends: www.minneapolismn.gov/getting-arou...

Walking in to NASA’s JPL today as a woman in science leadership felt almost like a protest. They can take us off the webpages and the walls, but we will still be here, absolutely crushing it, and supporting our community while we do it.

Happy International Day of Women in Science, everyone.

I’m tired of enduring verbal harassment day after day on this job. Last week it was Andrea Corbin berating and defaming me at my 200-person community safety townhall. This week it’s Jerry McAfee disrupting our meeting to call us little girls and children. We deserve dignity in our civil discourse.

Winter makes our transportation priorities so clear.

Street: well-cleared throughout snowfall

Taxpayer subsidized “free” car parking: cleared within 24 hours

Sidewalk & bus stop: untouched 48 hours later, w/ lots of footprints from all of the folks who rely on this sidewalk.

Sad news out of South Minneapolis. Over the last couple years Snoopy survived probably 10-20 buff jobs on the bridge over Lyndale. It’s gone now. Doesn’t look like it was painted over and maybe it happened a bit ago, but I only noticed it today due to the heat wave. 🚲
