I think people disliked your article because its core argument is asinine! We're not upset about the mechanism by which Trump renamed the Gulf of Mexico,we're upset because it is unilateral, absurd & racist.

Authoritarians often use legal means for nefarious ends, we all know this. Why don't you?

They aren’t just leaders lying casually via a broadcast. They have a crowd of people that participate & amplify, making their own memes, deepening the belief. Rumors as propaganda.

Any correction from outside can be dismissed bc they did the work of delegitimizing media, experts, outsiders already.
Still dizzying how "USAID spent $50 million for condoms in Gaza" -- an utter fabrication from the start -- then grew to $100 million. And then became "$100 million for condoms for Hamas."

The lesson after Springfield seems to be that when you're shown to be lying, you just exaggerate the lie.

I met Ben Wikler early on in his career and have been so impressed and thrilled by his incredible work in the years since. He’s a practical optimist who isn’t afraid of doing the work needed to prove to voters that we deserve their support. He would be a fantastic choice to lead the DNC.
Thank you Senator Tammy Baldwin for your support of this campaign.

Our work together in Wisconsin has shown the country how real, year-round organizing can break the GOP's stronghold in our state and build enduring power for Democrats.

Nobody ever planted a tree in this photo. It was a working gravel pit 30 years ago.

We need to get over our obsession with planting trees and let nature do the job. The results are just SO much better.

It's also about realising we are not, in fact, central to everything. 🌍

When they talk about privatizing Veterans’ care and Medicare, they mean allowing companies to provide healthcare for a profit.

But how do companies make those profits? By *denying* care to many who need it.

Don’t get fooled by the “privatization” label. It means “for profit” and YOU are the cost.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?

Sometimes the combination of arrogance and ignorance is breathtaking. Yes, US health care has high admin costs; that's because it relies so much on private insurers. Govt-run health insurance has much lower overhead
