The only reason men can use gang rape as a way to solidify their allegiances to each other is because we don’t accept victims at their word.

It means that the only person who can take down a powerful man is another powerful man with knowledge of the violence.

ICE is not broken. It's agents murdering people, taking trophies of victims, using illegal tactics, breaking laws, spreading terror, and leaving death cards are not isolated events, outliers, or accidents. ICE is operating exactly as intended.

Echoing the cowardly white moderates who inspired MLK to write Letter from Birmingham Jail, 60 Minnesota CEOs made no mention of ICE, Alex Pretti or Renee Good in a bloodless plea for MN's problems to disappear

I've read most of the scholarship about US policing since the early 20th century. What you learn from this is that violence is inherent. You cannot "separate" out violence from policing. Police in the U.S. are violence workers.

6 seconds later, he shoots Renee & says “Fucking bitch.”

We’ve already watched the footage. We know Ross was not afraid to be run over. Yet he shot her out of “self-defense.”

So what was he defending?

Women everywhere know exactly what he was defending: being exposed as emotionally weak. 👇🧵

They don't have capacity to terrorize more than 2-3 cities at a time.

Which means they rotate teams to new cities without relief.

Which means consistent resistance by fresh activists in each new city will break them over time.

Which means if you're city's not occupied, rest up and get ready.

The difference between the people Trump is turning on us from ICE vs the Nat Guard is that the Nat Guard signed a contract during very different times & are obligated to obey orders.

Those motherfuckers in ICE voluntarily chose THIS job, THIS year, precisely knowing it would demand violent cruelty.

We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.
"Jones, 27, is among the residents left at 7500 S. South Shore Drive who are trying to piece together what remains after an early morning, high-powered federal immigration raid led to the arrests of dozens of their neighbors at their South Shore apartment building."
