The train may stop.
But the line goes on.

Vale, Mike, the Ford of insight, the playful tumbrel between deeper currents.
I’m saving this for later, but some of you might need it today. I give you a poem that is one of my most treasured seasonal rituals: Winter Solstice, Camelot Station, by John M Ford.

(I miss him and I never even met him)

Found the actual men in women's bathrooms assaulting women.
ICE agents illegally break into a woman's bathroom in a NY nutrition bar manufacturing plant. "Pull up your pants," says a male agent. The agents only had a warrant to review employer documents. They didn't have a warrant to search for, detain, or arrest anyone there.

At least 30 people have died in ICE custody in less than a year under the current administration. With the massive increase in detainments, conditions inside ICE detention facilities will only get worse, leading to even more deaths.

If refusing to comment is enough to kill a story, then the government now has veto power over journalism.
That’s what CBS normalized last night — and it should scare everyone.

Pulling a finished investigation because the administration refused to comment isn’t journalism. It’s submission.

The reason they're so focused on trans teens is that people who transition younger typically blend into society better. To the extent that they're willing to tolerate our existence in society at all, they'd rather we be easily identified by our appearance/voices/etc.
Cis people really have no idea how it feels to watch a regime hold a press conference to admit, on camera, the pogrom against trans people they've been waging for 11 months is not only real, but they're going to double down on genocide and try to wipe out all the children first.

These people care about nothing, believe in nothing, love nothing. They're soulless, miserable creatures who think money or power is going to fill the gnawing void within them but it never will and we're the ones who are going to pay for it.

The US government called NCAR a “stronghold for left-wing climate lunacy” which is a wild thing to say during the 2nd hottest year on record, in the middle of horrific west coast storms and flooding, in a year that saw wildfire-red skies and hurricanes devastating Jamaica, Asheville and more
NCAR is quite literally our global mothership.

Everyone who works in climate and weather has passed through its doors and benefited from its incredible resources.

Dismantling NCAR is like taking a sledgehammer to the keystone holding up our scientific understanding of the planet.

Unbelievable.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

This horrific fucking ban on gender care for kids

absolutely fucking paves the way for a national abortion ban

and every time we don't give them mass uprising and mass protest

they just do more
CMS is saying they can do this because this care is not "healthcare" and thus they aren't regulating practice of medicine... seems like a slippery slope? what stops them from next saying abortion isn't healthcare?
Under the proposed rule issued by the Trump Administration today, any Medicare- or Medicaid-participating hospital would be barred from providing gender-affirming care to *any child*, even if the care is not paid for by Medicare or Medicaid.

Never accept a “parental rights” or “pro-life” argument from these people again. Gender affirming care for minors is life-saving medical care. It should be up to the child, the parents, and the doctors, and no one else.
Just now, a national trans healthcare felony ban for youth has passed the US House, with 10 year prison terms.

3 Dems crossed party lines to vote to jail providers.

4 GOP crossed party lines to vote against.

It is not expected to pass the Senate, where Dems hold filibuster power.

Story to come.

This would not have passed if those chickenshit Dems Davis, Cellar, and Gonzalez had not voted for it. They voted to put the parents of trans youth in prison for ten years.

Primary them all.
