Everything ICE/BO is doing is legitimated through criminalization . If you aren’t challenging that, you are supporting their project.

I'm in my mid-50s. I started organizing against the violence of policing when I was a teenager. I've heard ALL of the so-called "reform" proposals. They are the SAME ONES that liberals are offering in 2026. Cops have never killed more people in my lifetime.

Gotta do something different.

A lot of people forget how in 2004 the Bush regime kidnapped the democratically elected President of Haiti, Jean-Bertrand Aristide, and dumped him in Africa.
Is there any modern precedent for abducting a head of state?

Plenty of examples of coups, assassinations and domestic trials, including show trials, but this is like a Crusader Kings plot.

Again I'm seeing "they need to boycott the World Cup, the Olympics etc..." but who will organize these things to happen???? Do people know how much it would take for this to happen? Are people in the U.S. planning to co-lead the effort?

I know everyone is just venting. I get it. Yet...

VP Delcy Rodriguez, whom Trump indicated earlier today was collaborating with the US government, is live on television right now.

Earlier reports that she's in Russia are false. She's in Caracas with the rest of the cabinet.

Democrat leaders on this platform want you to believe they are the party of resistance while supporting genocide, rubber stamping Trump's nominees, folding on trans rights, using far-right rhetoric about migrants, working with mass surveillance companies, getting mad they weren't in on a coup.

I think of this a lot. Mostly because my favorite thing to say is that knowing who to be mad at is praxis. But it's also difficult for people to know currently because there's no identifiable leadership on the Lefts to clearly articulate this. The fascists constantly tell people who to be mad at.
And try not to take your frustration and feelings of powerlessness out on each other.

The thing about education and medical debt is that poorer people actually pay more for the same thing, which is unconscionable. These things should be free.

Periodic reminder that direct action is a fundamental form of protest.

It is the original form of protest.

To refuse to accept the status quo, to intervene in an effort to shift power from the oppressor to the oppressed is protest.
