The line here that made my ears prick up (and should really spook Labour) is the third one (that we need “fair and managed” migration). That’s not the answer of someone who has come to get his 12 per cent. That’s a much more “no, when I say I want to replace Labour, I’m not coming to play” line.

One criticism I had of ST:DISCO is that so much dialogue was affirmation. A winning Star Trek formula has 1 emotionally unavailable (Picard) or sarcastic (Bones) main character (see: everyone wanted more Shaw in Picard S3). So at least one of these kids better be a dickhead.

Sometimes it goes the other way, fewyears ago I used to have Wednesday off to look after my child & would put PMQs on the TV whilst making lunch & he got ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS when Johnson got kicked out and no longer appeared on PMQs. Refused to let me watch it when it was Sunak or Truss.

Relatedly, one of the most tedious things people do is go 'wow. How profound. My pre-school child, who I literally taught to speak and whose brain is a highly powerful and retentive sponge, has paraphrased my politics back at me in a cute way'. I mean, no kidding.
What exactly is the end game here? Fail at banking, fail at being a business guru, try to become fixture of right wing think tank set?
