Jerry is a pretty smart guy. You should listen to him.
It sucks all around now. I’m gonna remind myself to check my reflexes, cut folks slack, offer some grace.
I’m not trans. I don’t know what it’s like and I don’t know the dynamics of that community. But I can’t help but wonder why people on this app are bullying transgender journalists when Donald Trump, Nancy Mace and Mike Johnson are actively going after trans people.

This is Dwight Schrute’s speech to the Northeastern Pennsylvania Sales convention.
Stephen Miller, who wants the U.S. to steal Greenland and shake down Latin America, says: ”We live in a world … that is governed by force, that is governed by power. These are the iron laws of the world since the beginning of time.”
That‘s a criminal pretending that a civilized world is impossible.

Good to see the CIA weighing in on who should run Venezuela now that we kidnapped its head of state. That worked out well for Gen. Pinochet.

I've said this before but it bears repeating. A lot of journalists and politicians treat AI bots like they're real humans and trans people like they're not. Having a trans daughter, this is a source of daily anger.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.

I don't see what's hard about telling Americans the truth: The aged lying self-obsessed president who tariffed your stuff while blocking the Epstein Files & taking multiple cognitive tests just started a war you didn't ask for, for no coherent reason other than he thinks it makes him look good on TV

I'm a parent, so of course I'm a bit biased, but this is a really profound thread.
You don’t have to want kids or even enjoy being around them. But it’s also worth unpacking why kids simply existing, learning, or having unmet needs reads as “annoying,” “unlikeable,” or “bad behavior.”

This collective discomfort with noise, need, & vulnerability is why many ADULTS are struggling.

It is tragic that President Trump, who I do not support, and Nicolas Maduro, who I do not support, didn't join forces with Vladimir Putin, who I do not support, to form the greatest alliance the world has ever known, which I would not support.

Wait, people are surprised that the American press supports the president's illegal war in Venezuela? I'm 63 and I've never seen the American press *not* support a war, legal or illegal.

Let me see if I have this straight.

Bush Jr: Starts a war in Iraq, blows up the economy.

Trump I: Mismanages a pandemic, a million+ die, impeached twice, nearly blows up the economy.

Trump II: Blows up a third of the White House, starts a war in Venezuela.

This is Republican governance?
Trump says "people in the military" will be involved in running Venezuela

Can't help but feel like this is one of the reasons why the Constitution says If a dude in office does an insurrection, don't let that motherfucker hold office again

Bc clearly they cannot be trusted with power & control over the levers of government, & they do not care about democratic constraints

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

One of the ways I have tried to make my Bluesky experience better than my twitter experience was is by not reading people's posts/comments in the worst possible light.

If someone says "CSAM is bad" and your retort is "but revenge porn is ok?!"—that's twitter behavior and you should stop it.

Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.

No doubt some people really think this. They’d be shocked to find out that Alabama legend Bear Bryant essentially forced the university to integrate the team.
Why did Alabama get blown out by 31 points in the Rose Bowl? Because it became too woke.

Not sure what to make of the Rose Bowl broadcast going to commercial while "Won't Get Fooled Again" plays.

Magic Johnson was the grand marshal of the Rose Parade today, and as someone who remembers his November 1991 HIV announcement: if you had told anybody that day that he would be alive and healthy 34+ years later, I don't think they would have believed you. Medicine and research—they work.
