"An Elegy for My Neighbor, Renee Nicole Good" - by Danez Smith

"Neighbor, you should have made it home to your child, to the bright warmth of his laughter, but our country is at war with its people, and your goodness makes you an enemy, a citizen insurgent."

The FA Cup is amazing; nothing else like it in sports. And poor Crystal Palace. First time a non-league team eliminated the defending champ in 117 years. But! At least in 1909 it was Crystal Palace as the plucky upstart non-league team that beat the defending champs!

I once got 3rd degree burns on my foot from applesauce. (Making homemade applesauce and just-mushed applesauce that had been boiling mere seconds ago fell on my foot)
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

I watched “Ernest Saves Christmas” last night with my family. Was it good? No. Was it 93 minutes? Yes. Because of that, it was one of the most enjoyable movie watching experiences of 2025, even if it was the worst movie I’ve seen this year in every other way.
i think if a director wants to make a movie longer than 120 min they should have to get permission via national referendum
