I do want to shout-out my fellow sociologists, who have collectively created a discipline so woke that not a single one of our introductory textbooks can make it past Florida's censors.

Great work everyone.

This is a remarkable @nytimes.com split screen:

A huge 3,526 word + photos profile on Sen Britt who "can't stop thinking about the boy ICE detained"

But Rep Jaoquin Castro- who actually got Liam Ramos out of detention & back home- gets no interview, no pix, just 116 words inside a story. WOW.

Sitting U.S. senators don't make letters such as this one public unless they feel a paper trail is needed to inform the public.

Not great. Really not great.

The production is eyerolling but the redactions are infuriating.

This was not a good faith effort to comply with the law, especially not when so much victim information was unredacted.
So, one of the Epstein docs released was inexplicably a practice MBE exam. And yet, there were several redactions in it. Which suggests that perhaps the DOJ/FBI isn't taking care to redact properly.

Guess they blindly redacted IM / AM (or PM) without context.

Pretty willd how the DOJ just straight up stopped releasing the Epstein files even though they're legally obligated to do so.

Note that the fascist is not using the pepper spray for crowd control. He is entering a vehicle unimpeded to depart. He is simply using the pepper spray to physically punish an unarmed citizen he doesn't like.
Big clash this afternoon between DHS agents and protesters in a residential street in Minneapolis, following a DHS agent hitting another vehicle. Tear gas was deployed in people’s yards and agents pepper prayed people.

Trump insisted not only that the officer was struck, but that he was so badly injured by it that he remains hospitalized and his survival is in doubt.

In the video, the officer is seen to walk away unharmed.
"Was the officer struck by the vehicle, as President Trump insists, or did the car pass by or around him?"
If we only had some trusted institution that could adjudicate between competing claims by relying on facts.

THREAD: I'll fact-check all the viral misinformation about the US military operation in Venezuela in this thread

This image, purporting to show the US military arresting Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, is AI-generated.

According to Google's SynthID detector, it was created using Google AI.
