BREAKING: The Trump administration is suing D.C. over its ban on semi-automatic (AR-15) weapons.

DOJ's Civil Rights Division under Harmeet Dhillon is seeking a court ruling that D.C.'s law "prohibiting registration of the AR-15 by law-abiding citizens violates the Second Amendment."

The FIRE/MI brief argues that misgendering isn’t inherently disruptive. Research has shown that being misgendered is psychologically damaging to transgender people.

Transgender Americans, who are under attack at virtually every level of government and society, have high suicide rates already.

Start putting on Democratic radars: Section 702 expires in April 2026 and we NEED to drastically limit its ability to spy in the US or used for immigration. It uses collected digital communications intended for overseas national security purposes to watch the US side of those communications & more.

The blatant selling of pardons is perhaps the clearest instance of criminal conduct authorized by SCOTUS. Pardons are a quintessential "official act." So, even when Trump takes a bribe to issue one, he is presumably above the criminal law.

"Kavanaugh Stop" went from a skeet on here to Bluesky meme to crosspollinating over on X to Brett Kavanaugh's burner account seeing it there to a whiny defensive footnote about it in a decision by the Supreme Court of the United States.

Juice.
Check out the Kavanaugh FN 4; I think it's pretty clear that the Kavanaugh Stop thing has gotten to him:

The Justice Department didn’t respond to requests for comment on the new documents or the decision to remove them.

I looked at the report's "peer review" addendum pdf (not how peer review works) and Reviewer 1 is the APA. The entire American Psychiatric Association. Who disagreed strongly with the report.

Other "peers" (transphobes with postgrad degrees) are more approving. This is used to dismiss Reviewer 1.
Trans youth healthcare is based in decades of research and supported by every major medical organization in the US. Under RFK Jr, a handpicked panel produced a dodgy report claiming otherwise.

It's a clear example of Kennedy's war on science. So why aren't news organizations treating it that way?
