"We have a first amendment right to coordinate our market activity" is not going to be a viable claim, guys
BREAKING: RealPage is suing New York, challenging a new state law that bans landlords from using algorithms to set rents.

RealPage claims that its software, which landlords have used to collude on rents, is protected by the First Amendment.

"No one colonizes innocently, no one colonizes with impunity either; a nation which colonizes, a civilization which justifies colonization and therefore force, is already a sick civilization, a civilization which is morally diseased."

—Aimé Césaire, Discourse on Colonialism
Since the declaration of the supposed ceasefire, the Israeli military has violated it an average of ten or more times a day, murdering hundreds of Palestinians, including scores of small children.

There is no peace in Gaza, nor in the West Bank. As the genocide continues, so must our resistance.
Ya Ghazze Habibti—Gaza, My Love
An anarchist from occupied Palestine makes the case for an anti-colonial understanding of the situation and explores what it means to act in solidarity with Palestinians.

Wow, maybe we were wrong about it being a bad idea for Libertarians to support Trump. Who else could have gotten the right wing mainstream media to make excuses for grown men having sex with 13 year olds?

So Messenger is included in the under16s social media ban, despite reassurances it wouldn't be.

FFS. This is why the legislation is so badly written: the vast tidal wave of unintended consequences. The often repeated 'world-leading' legislation shouldn't be an excuse for it not working properly.
Scoop: Meta's (formerly Facebook) Messenger app is set to be in the teen social media ban, accidentally!

Despite the government saying messaging apps will be excluded, the app won't be able to have <16 users because of the law's drafting and the way the platform works.

A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

We can’t let them get away with this. Miller and the other architects of this sadism need to go to prison.

make no mistake. this is the natural consequence of mainstream politicians accepting the war on terror. this is solidly the result of both parties' willingness to treat terrorism as a gotcha against civil liberties
My gosh. After the US bombed multiple boats in the middle of the ocean, murdering people on grounds that they were allegedly "carrying drugs," the US Attorney General says "Just like we did with cartels, we're going to take the same approach, President Trump, with Antifa."
