Parents, please check your kids’ candy this Halloween. I’ve just found an ancient metal whistle with the inscription “QUIS EST ISTE QUI VENIT" inside a Snickers bar. I blew it and heard a note of infinite distance, and now I’m haunted by a figure in pale, fluttering draperies. Be safe.

Western minds seem to have a 70-year span for history before it recedes into mythology. The safety net, vaccines, the FDA -- all between 70 and 90 years old and their reasons for existing have slid past the veil.
Same with fascism.

It is so hard to get through to people that before food stamps, kids starved. Before meat inspections, kids died. Before vaccines, kids died. You're choosing to kill children to save a buck & you refuse to see it because it's not real to you

My nail lady, who is a Buddhist through and through and quite superstitious… “Something is coming. This year, this new year, in our culture is a time of war, purging old ideas and bad. You buy gold, take cash out, have at very least 10 days of food.”
