Permanently stuck in the days between
Was pretty sure no-one at work had "a breeding programme for science fiction fans deep in the Ozarks" on this afternoon's meeting bingo card. You'd think people would have learnt by now not to ask me to do presentations.

Acheived onlynonly thing at a busy meeting-filled day so far...completing my voluntary redundancy application paperwork.

This cheers me up immensly. Dave Hicks is one of the great fan artists and his work reflects his character - funny, brilliant and engaging. It has been my priviledge as a fanzine editor to publish many pieces of his art through the years.

I don’t usually comment on people’s appearance, but the consistency with which any right wing public figure looks like they were drawn by Steve Dillon haunts me. From ‘elder statesmen speaks out’ to ‘youth addresses Tory conference’ just 100% grailspawn motherfuckers. It’s statistically unfeasible.

Happy World GIS Day for all that celebrate. I'll mostly be data wrangling, which sounds about right.

My favourite phrase so far from Joyce's Ulysses is "nutty gizzards". I can see myself dropping that inappropriately into conversations for years to come now.

Pretty sure if Gwenno asked a sizeable portion of the Princess Pavillion tonight would have marched on London, myself included. Great gig, and always wonderful to hear Eus Keus live - the world's greatest Cornish language cheese-based Krautrock banger.

Since yesterday afternoon's Voluntary Redundancy announcement, my work Teams calls have taken on an increasingly weird vibe. Everyone seems desperate to ask the "Whatcha thinkin?" Question, but are trying hardest not to be the first to pull the trigger.

NHS Sussex are forcibly detransitioning trans people. These patients need full restoration of their healthcare, and everyone involved in doing this needs to be sacked.
"Laura fears all will be lost if ICB Sussex forces her child off the medication.

If ICB Sussex get their own way in a matter of weeks and they force detransition, Olive may well take her life."
