God, yes. The reason I made so much art when I was young was because I had the vast energy of youth, not because I had two dimes to rub together. How many brilliant artists never make it and have to get a job just to live and are too tired to make art now?
Honestly if money were made unnecessary to live we would almost certainly be getting more art out of people, not less, let's make money superfluous to existence and find out
