#NewYearsDay I really hope the AI bubble pops as everyday consumers cost expensive as hell.

The first film in history to use Dolby’s 360 surround sound system called Atmos that is widely available on both theaters and home theater systems today.

Just saw an ad for the drink Zevia that dunks on Coca-Cola for using AI in its ads. Well done. That's a Don Draper move

This honestly makes me happy to see. Film studios should not keep buying more movie studios and I still think both Netflix and Paramount would be horrible owners for Warner Bros and would do so much damage to the film industry. We do not need more mergers.

It is honestly amazing how stubborn Netflix is. Do they not realize that keeping a film in theaters for less than three weeks would lose them money and wouldn't make the film have an impact? They seriously better not implement this or they're gonna dig their grave faster.
Netflix reportedly only wants to keep movies in theaters for 17 days after they buy Warner Bros

I can't afford to upgrade my computer bc of AI skyrocketing the prices of various parts, and it's almost to the point where I can't properly stream without my computer crashing, and streaming/a working computer is my main form of income rn

The pop CANNOT come fast enough ffs

As much I do like F1 Movie and Superman (2025), but these has the lowest effort of HDR grading usage (even the brighter scenes never reached over 100 nits). I thought the near-fieled audio mix messes are the biggest issues these days...
HDR Paradox: dimmer movies 10 years later! What happened to HDR?

This needs a pop so badly. All of those with the RAM shortage and quadrupled the prices (from PC parts to everyday consumers usage)?

I cannot stress enough to any other Australians to please avoid KWS verification like the plague.

I was checking through what bluesky's verification was and just immediately with this.
If you don't know, KWS had a data breech and it was confirmed user data was stolen that was supposed to be deleted

I very seriously want people to be rude, mean and strict about AI.

See a YouTuber using AI? Tell them you hate it and unsubscribe.
See an artist using AI? Tell them to fuck off and block.
See a friend posting AI memes/vids? Call them out.

Ruffle feathers. Debate it. Hate it. Bury it.

Movies aren't content and they shouldn't be treated as digital coupons by a studio that they can wave around to people. They're works of art that deserve to belong in the cinema and also be put on home video collections to be cherished. That's what makes them special.

It's not hard to see why people are freaking out given Warner's history with mergers. We've lost some damn good shows and movies with Discovery.

I'm gonna wait this out and see where it goes before really flipping out.
I really don't know what to say about this Netflix/Warner mess.
