When you let yourself think about physical space and whether it can have an active relationship with time, you're not trying to change the way you believe in what's real.
You're not trying to channel any sort of mysticism that undoes anything we already know about, you know, science.
All you're really doing is wondering. You're wondering if things that we can touch or walk on might absorb something that occurs among it. Is there any theoretical way that might be happening? If I tell you something - literally anything; if ljust say the word "bubblegum" to you - that technically changes your life in a way that cannot be undone. That's how the butterfly effect works. You carry that with you. You might forget it quickly, but it could change your mood, or it might remind you of something or it might occupy space in your brain that causes you to forget something and all of that can alter an action you might take or don't take.

as the person who kicked off a lot of the modern "civil war 2" discourse i don't think we're past the point where that can be avoided. i do think we are already in a state of mass civil conflict. but many nations (see: Italy) have been through similar upheavals without war.

A majority of the issues I had probably would've been solved if we had an influx of the sort of people I was always trying to pull in. Gripes aside, to a person, it had everything they would want, but they couldn't imagine leaving their followers, or whatever. It was so disheartening.

I often kinda side-eye a lot of the opining of the death of Cohost for a myriad of reasons, but I think what bothers me most is that like...ultimately people just didn't pull up. Begged and pleaded with artist friends who'd complain about places like Instagram to come through. Crickets.

When I finally got a friend to try Cohost, one of the things that jumped out was the fact that they were releasing profit and expense reports to the site on the regular. So bringing that up as a gotcha is wild.

Cohost was a full-blown worker cooperative (although not legally incorporated that way) in which all three—later four—employees had a full voting share in how to do stuff. also, they released plenty of data on their profits and expenses, which is why we even know the site never made money lol

So them having "not enough" is just their own words. It was also fully "trust me bro" with any and all code development. Which made it hard to.. well, trust...
