Isn’t this just a delightful scene! I just love those buildings in the neighbourhood (brick and stonework is highly underrated, if you ask me).

Taxis and cars, a few of which have trees tied to their roofs, weave amongst the houses, which are decorated with festive lights and bows on the windows, while adults and children enjoy the parks. Sprinkled around the neighbourhood are large green trees festooned with brightly coloured lights. Taller apartment buildings and office towers are seen in the distance

I’ve only ever painted one thing on canvas, and it’s this: a 3 foot tall piece that I did almost 20 yrs ago. I expanded it from a drawing I’d done in a sketchbook, and I’m still quite fond of it.

Finished up this delightful book nook build that spouse got me for Xmas. It was soothing blend of Lego building and puzzle making that I found extremely satisfying, promoting extreme focus and deep work that magically settled anxiety. Now I understand the "old people working on puzzles" stereotype.

New Year's Eve. Fog horns heralded the last day of 2025. Walking down to the cafe was a bit like strolling the back streets of Jack the Ripper's London.

Like 2025 needed more drama.

Saturday. Temps hovering around 0 degrees so time to bust out the fuzzy winter boots 😄. Naturally, I passed several folks out in shorts and light jackets. Vancouver contains multitudes.
