Backwards imo. If you accept the NATO argument it all seems so bizarre - Ukraine was never getting into NATO, and the full scale invasion accelerated NATO expansion. The invasion can only really be understood with Imperial logic
Russia's invasion made a tremendous amount of sense if you actually listened to what they said - it was about NATO expansion - and not the BS about grand imperialist ambitions rooted in the slavic psyche. It's fair to ask whether Israel's actions have any similar internal logic (I doubt it).
