an actual living nightmare
It happened to us in PDX. My wife managed to trap it in our bathroom, and we had a shit covered rat running around our bathroom for an hour until I could get home and murder it.

Life without a phone is a lot more relaxing than I thought it would be. Sure it's a pain, if I want to check my email or remember I needed to add something to the grocery list it involves a laptop, but I have no clue what's going on in the world. That's nice.

You see someone come on on a chair and then get up and walk off, it doesn’t mean shit. You don’t know what they’re dealing with and why they did that.

Truly mind your own business.

Tonight I learned what air sickness is like and how extra horrible flights are when multiple people puke. Do not recommend. F- for sure.

If you doubt this, look at Democrats! Despite having wildly more popular policies, they lost in 2016 and 2024 for one single reason: demobilization.

Infighting drove down participation, leaving room for Trumpists to take power.

Strippers are now the No. 1 donor of toys to children's hospital in Portland.

This year, they broke their own record raising over $183,000 for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital having a successful Tata for Toys once again.

What. And I mean this absolutely. The fuck.
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

It's ugly sweater or holiday glam day in this office. Almost everyone is in a polo and slacks. NYC tech I guess.

4/ Ventilation saves lives. Clean indoor air, through ventilation or filtration, dramatically cuts the spread of respiratory infections. It’s time to treat air quality like food hygiene: a basic public health requirement.

There are a lot of bad things one can say about Portland. But PDX is easily the best airport in the entire US and I better not hear any disagreement.

This is true but also it's WSU. Don't malign my alma mater's amazing life changing cheese by associating it with uw.
FYI it's not too late to ship your loved ones a 30 ounce sealed container of high quality canned Cougar Gold cheese straight from the University of Washington and have it arrive before Christmas. nothing says "i love you" like cheese that can be aged indefinitely

Since 9/11, the FBI has spent a ton of resources effectively entrapping angry poor people into pretending they were engaging in a terrorist plot and then "stopping" the plot that never had any chance of being carried out. This is almost certainly another such case.

One way that the reaction to Rob Reiner's murder mirrors Charlie Kirk's is that the best way to eulogize each of them is to quote their words, and in both cases, doing so pisses off conservatives.
Rob Reiner: “Silence in the face of authoritarianism is complicity. Speaking out is a patriotic act. Democracy doesn’t defend itself. It requires participation, vigilance, and courage from ordinary people."
