It's been awhile since my last avocado-related post, but for anyone in the project area (hardiness zone 8b+ Cascadia), I've got a bunch of seedlings that are overdue for distribution and planting. Slide into the DMs if you wanna join the project!
Botanically speaking, a squash is a fruit. A berry, actually!

This is the tree that has been outside in the ground for the longest of any tree in the project: since January 2021.

If the winter is mild enough to avoid damage to the branch tips, it's possible this could flower for the first time next year.

These articles always depend on a bizarre Schroedinger's Seattle: The city is falling apart due to progressive overreach but we should have re-elected the conservative non-socialist who has been in charge for the last four years.

I say this with all due respect, and maybe even a bit more respect than is due to your left-punching, pedo-protecting, fascism-enabling rag of a paper:

Fuck all the way off and stop being a stain on the entire journalism profession.

I've started about 500 avocado seeds for this project, but this little seedling is pretty special. This was grown from the seed of the first (and so far only) avocado that has ripened on any tree in the project.
