@aleach.ca Any idea where the $400/tonne industrial carbon price to recoup the emissions abatement lost from removing the Clean Energy Regulations comes from?

Thank you, Dan Leonard (a member of Granite Members for Affordable Housing).

“The MB government is hoping for a generational investment to expand the Port of Churchill, but the City of Winnipeg is unable to even move forward with a funded, city-approved, 111-unit housing project on city land.”

Imagine if an unelected board gave the Foot Locker formal veto powers over what the owners of Polo Park do with their parking lot.

Canada Life has given Granite users access to their parking lot for years, but I can see why they wouldn’t want to formally enter into an agree that would restrict development on their own property.

Jelynn Dela Cruz is doing great work as Radisson's MLA & a member of the government helping fix our healthcare, launching the Senior's Advocate, & opening a new school.

Let's ensure the Radisson NDP is funded for next elxn so Jelyn can continue her work.

On Remembrance Day, I think of my grandfather, Daniel Alberta McCoy, a WWII gunner, whose plane was shot down over Belgium.

His story reminds me that remembrance is not just about war. We must honour those who served by committing ourselves to peace, justice, and humanity.

@johnquiggin.bsky.social, I was once talking to someone who ran an independent council campaign in an Australia city that elects Councillors, usually partisan, by ward with STV.

Their campaign didn't spend time courting hyperlocal community leaders.

My dad died three years ago.

Here's a photo of him with Mr. Lahey & Randy when they visited Thompson circa 2008.

2nd photo he took at Festival du Voyageur in the very early aughts where he asked one of the historically costumed staff to pose for a morbidly-construable photo.

They need to reboot Peep Show except make Mark Corrigan a cynophobic, soft left social democratic teetotaller who drinks diet pop by the litre and has strong opinions on land use.

This is my opinion for no particular reason.
Like I think the reason that people think of her as a neoliberal or whatever is probably related to the fact that they were explicitly tying her to people like Bloomberg with 0 examination with the whole soda tax thing lol. Like 30 rock wouldn't have presented her as obviously correct there
