Familie Haubentaucher beim füttern ...
Diese halbe Stunde dort am Ufer auf alle Fälle mein friedlichster Fotomoment dieses Jahr.

It's inefficient to get out of bed in the morning only to get back in the same bed at night. Stay in bed all day to avoid this

You don't know what day it is.
You're eating countless meals a day with lots of snacks in between.
You're napping throughout they day.
Either it's the time between Christmas and New Year or you're a cat.

Me, seeing a post about a dog that once found a pork pie in a bush and so searches in that bush every time it goes for a walk “hehe dumb dog”

Also me: *looks in the drawer under the telly every evening because Mrs Beth once hid crisps in there*

I'm likely to forget to post this on Boxing Day but I had a great time meeting the Grenoside Sword Dancers in Sheffield ahead of their annual Boxing Day dance.

One dancer has been doing it for over 50 years and another reckons their family link goes back even further.

Sometimes all the wisdom and truth in the world can be found on the side of an 18th century Wedgwood teapot;

Health to the sick
Honour to the brave
Success to the lover
And freedom to the slave

Sharing this one again because it's awesome, someone should start reproducing these.

Just a reminder: you are NOT unusual, weird, or unlovable if you have:

- no one to see on Christmas Day,
- no presents, or
- no contactable relatives.

Very few people live the idealised version on TV. Those of us who live differently—whether by choice or trauma—matter as much.

Governments are always keen to have reviews into benefits and overdiagnosis of mental health difficulties. But they always ignore every study that says 4 day weeks and UBI dramatically improve people's wellbeing and the economy.
