Graham Linehan has such little self-awareness he *really* doesn’t understand how totally unhinged he seems in his ‘woe is me’ batshit crazy ranting! 😬

He’s the ‘cautionary tale’ of what obsessive ‘gender critical’ transphobia leads to: no friends, no life, and spaghetti carbonara for one!

Epic pays for licensing fees for the games they give away for free as promotions. Which means even if YOU aren't paying for it, you're giving money to JK Rowling to harm transgender people AND elevating her stature by giving her franchise higher numbers.

How on earth did Leave ever win?
Former Conservative MP Ben Bradley is the latest unseated Tory to join the exodus to Reform UK.

Here he is launching Leave EU's youth movement, "Future for Leave" in March 2019.

Spot the youthful cameo.

Even if I wasn’t writing a book about Simogo, this would be in my top ten of the year. Just an essential document of a time when mobile games had such potential and one developer in particular saw that and ran with it

This is obscene.

That others in politics can’t or won’t say that this is obscene hits at the heart of the problems we face.

"Lily Allen if she Married Santa" is great.

It's by Sam O'Leary who remains irritatingly resolutely NOT on BlueSky but IS in Earth Must Die so you'll have to let him off

When are we to expect newspaper front-page interview features with Dr. Beth Upton about her two-year ordeal of having her right to anonymity removed and her name dragged through the mud and being decried as a sexual predator only for a tribunal to clear her and find SHE was discriminated against?

Yeah, I just had to dig through the BBC liveblog, past analysis about her "partial victory", to find the bit that explains NHS Fife has been found to have mishandled some aspects of her complaint, but the actual complaint hasn't been upheld at all.
It’s maddening that I just heard this tribunal decision covered on BBC News, which led with “Sandie Peggie wins her case,” expanded with “Sandie Peggie secures a partial victory,” then only on listening further did it become clear she actually lost on most of the substantive points she was pursuing.
Decision in the Sandie Peggie case.

She was not directly or indirectly discriminated against, her claim of victimisation fails entirely, her claim of harassment fails largely and her claim against Beth Upton fails entirely. www.judiciary.uk/judgments/sa...

TERF: brings court case with a scattergun of largely ludicrous allegations

Court: dismisses almost all allegations but upholds one or two of the less ludicrous ones

Media: THIS TERF WON HER CASE AND NOW THE TRANSES ARE ILLEGAL AND YOU MUST STONE THEM IN THE STREETS

Every. Fucking. Time.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:

I enjoyed answering this particularly writing "all should get a reduction to their entry time, or none, you shouldn't be able to buy your way or have to perform tricks for the state to have dignity" and adding for vulnerable groups "anyone fleeing a country we sold arms to"
The public consultation on "Earned Settlement" is open until the 12th February, for anyone who wants to get their two cents in, though it's pretty clear from the leading nature of the questions that they've already decided. www.gov.uk/government/c...

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

when a poor person uses food stamps for a steak or homeless person spends $5 on a beer, it’s seen as proof that all poor people are so bad with money that they shouldn’t be given any, ever, for any reason. $77 billion out the window, and zuck’s legacy as a safe government contract bet is secure.

Governments are always keen to have reviews into benefits and overdiagnosis of mental health difficulties. But they always ignore every study that says 4 day weeks and UBI dramatically improve people's wellbeing and the economy.
