We need to build some real social stigma around being afraid of cities. You don't have to like them or live there, but a politics built this strongly around watching TV and going "ewww" is embarrassing, and people should be embarrassed by it. It's like "fear of werewolves" being your top issue.

ICE didn't exist before 9/11 and has been violating human rights on a daily basis under both Republican and Democratic administrations. Undocumented immigrants pay taxes into the same system we do, which should be funding healthcare, not war. Love to my city of LA. Peace to everyone except fascists✌️

No cop cars were being set on violence until cops spent hours shooting and brutally maiming protestors all of today, as well as pummeling them with blunt force violence with batons and chemical weapons with tear gas.

In the last 20 or so minutes I’ve seen LAPD officers shove women to the ground without provocation, rip a sign out of a man’s hand and then swing a baton into his leg and raise a less-lethal launcher to aim
directly at a protester (which I’m 99% is a major policy violation.)

By offloading all guilt for antisemitism onto Muslim and Middle Eastern immigrants, Trumpists get to avoid reckoning with their own movement's culpability with dramatically rising antisemitism in the US. Antisemitism gets defined as a foreign problem, hence we don't have to reckon with it ourselves.
