Your sticker shock on your monthly gas bill is not just driven by the cost of natural gas. Pipeline infrastructure spending is a major factor that jacks up both our rates and utilities' profits--that's why my Pipeline Accountability Act would support smarter system investments.

Democrats are not naive infants. They are fully aware, malicious entities.

They do not want to win. They do not want to listen to their base.

They *do* want to get paid to move the party right, and then lecture ppl who spot the jig.

Mamdani’s whole campaign made it plain.

My sense is they feel very affirmed when people get mad. "If both sides are angry I'm doing my job," is a line I have heard from a high-level NYT editor, not saying which one.

You'll ignore this, but every time you tweet angrily about crap like that Nuzzi piece you're confirming NYT editors' intuitions/incentivizing more of it. The entire intellectual/journo model here is, "Does this person get people angry? Yes? OK they're provocative/get talked about. Write about her."

Families are already paying too much for energy. Now Big Tech's data centers want to drive costs even higher. I'm urging @ferc.gov to stop unjust utility rate hikes—corporate greed has no place on your power bill.

'Matt Gaetz Raped A Homeless Teenager' is what you mean.

A teenager with a homeless parent? What? The fuck? Did she have a home and not allow her parent to live in it? Ended up having sex with? What? Yeah clearly you guys been caping for pedos long enough and you understand the assignment here
A teenager in Florida with a homeless parent wanted money for braces and ended up having sex for money with powerful men, setting off a chain of events that would have a dramatic impact on her life and help upend the political career of Representative Matt Gaetz. nyti.ms/49PSkL9

Soon, we'll oversee a budget of more than $100 billion — and every dollar will reflect our commitment to working New Yorkers and delivering universal childcare. Good thing some little New Yorkers gave me a counting lesson today!

This is the way.
Is Schumer still the minority leader? Is Durbin still the whip? Is Cortes-Masto still a vice chair? Good Democrats -- rank and file, those committed to restoring party --must tell Act Blue and every candidate with hands out for the coming midterms -- that there's no cash coming without new leaders.

back in the 60s, conservatives didnt trust the gop establishment. they saw them as giving in to the left. they staged an insurgency and took over the party. this led to goldwater who was destroyed. but then they got

this is the model.

I don't want a system of human economic organization where most of us are fucked and a few of us are not fucked.

Today's Democrats have a religious commitment to this system and they're willing to sacrifice human rights, throw elections, and concede to the GOP just to defend it.

The Mayor of New York only makes $260k. I bet there are police that make more than that in NY with overtime.

We need to pay elected leaders more money and stop pretending it's some sort of calling. They're managing hundreds of billions of dollars in investments and millions of people's lives.

people hate hearing this but it's 100% true, creating a huge pay gap between political leaders, their staffs, and other elites is a recipe for corruption. of course the flip side of that is taxes on the rich should be jacked way the hell up
