A woman is killed by a man every 3 days in the UK...

78% are murdered by a partner/ex

Yet not once have I heard Reform talk about this

Not once have I heard them back measures to protect women’s safety

In fact, they voted against them...

If you don’t like being called a racist, maybe don’t make a career of saying things that appeal to racists, don’t create a political party that keeps attracting racist candidates, don’t fawn over racist world leaders, and don’t make a convicted racist the guest of honour at your party conference.

I am not shy to say when I disagree with Sadiq Khan. But I also think it's important to say out loud when other politicians get it right.

This is exactly what the leader of a diverse and vibrant city like London should say. Thank you Sadiq.

The only solution to pornography is for parents to have meaningful conversations with their children. This involves things like consent, sure, but also more complicated issues like the difference between fantasy and reality. There is no policy solution to this problem.

It’s incomprehensible that three Labour MPs should be suspended for refusing to vote to make disabled people poorer. How did it come to this?

The reason Raiders works is because it’s actually profound: Indy is a skeptical and relentless intellectual, yet he must learn to fear the power of God even if that means literally shutting his eyes to the greatest discovery of his life. Last Crusade kind of got this & tapped into the same dynamic.

On the plus side: we're returning to that blissed-out period in the noughties when a £ was worth two $ and we could holiday like kings in the US. On the down side: We can't actually go to the US because they'll arrest us.
Breaking: The US dollar has suffered its worst first half of the year since 1973, as Donald Trump’s trade and economic policies prompt global investors to rethink their exposure to the world’s dominant currency. https://on.ft.com/4ev1ux1

Startling but a reminder that in spite of all the commentary about the Labour government not being proper Labour or red Tories, they actually are a Labour government after all with MPs prepared to kick back when the leadership tries to implement a terrible non-Labour type policy. Heartening really.

Go on, you can have a little read of this article, as a treat
Nearly a year after Britain’s seismic general election, former MPs booted out by the electorate are feeling abandoned.

The pain is particularly acute for the waves of defeated Conservative parliamentarians.
Britain’s defeated Tory MPs struggle to adjust to civilian life
Support for fallen politicians is patchy and inconsistent, which could deter would-be legislators from entering the political arena.
