If I decided it was too much bother to clean my house so I moved into an igloo in Antarctica for the rest of my life, you'd think I was awful stupid.
Tech bros deciding they'd lose too much profit if they stopped destroying the Earth because they can move to Mars someday is even stupider.

It's been so long since I last watched "Funny Girl" that I forgot it starts with a lengthy overture.

That's something I wish Hollywood would revive. I think "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" has one? (also a while since I watched that.)

Watched STAR TREK BEYOND, my favorite of the Kelvin Timeline Treks. It’s the one where the “new” cast comes together in the best way. It’s a shame they didn’t give them some grand finale, but it’s a decent closure to that cast. Pine, Urban. Quinto, Saldana, Pegg, Cho, and Yelchin are great.

NYT shows how Bari Weiss really screwed this up.

She didn't attend any of the 5 screenings of the story, which began on Dec. 12.

She only first weighed in on Thursday, and the show incorporated her suggestions.

She then waited until weekend to ask for more edits.

interesting phenomenon where you can be a star wars fan while only recognizing one of the movies as good. the only more extreme case is james bond: a true bond movie fan recognizes that none of them are good.
