More Americans got measles this week than Olivia Nuzzi’s book. Guess which got more press coverage.
1. Measles is ravaging South Carolina.

Over 100 people infected, and hundreds more in quarantine.

In response, RFK Jr., the nation's top public health official, has been SILENT

But it's much worse than that. RFK Jr. and his allies are undermining confidence in the vaccine

its important to remember that, going all the way back to buckley, any time conservatives have denounced their far right fringe it was always a pr move prompted by embarrassing optics and never a principled stand against fascistic zealots whom conservatives instinctively know are part of their base
The idea Buckley was some bulwark against overt bigotry on the right is of course not really true. His ire was targeted at conspiracy theorists and isolationists, defending Jim Crow was fine. But granting that myth of him and then saying now of course we wouldn't want to go *that* far is deranged.

I'm not even going to repost a screengrab of his post about Rob Reiner but man it really needs to be said every single day: Trump truly is the biggest piece of shit in the world, a man of absolutely no good qualities and seemingly limitless bad ones. Support for him is just so damning.

The thing you need to understand about the Right is that they are absolutely fine just plain burning down higher education if taking it over ideologically doesn’t work. They’re perfectly happy reducing it to ashes.

not enough looking glasses to pass through at this point:

An entire family of Kansas Citians outed themselves as ICE agents and got USA Today to write an exposé because they felt that their work, as a family deporting other families, is wrongly demonized by the media.

They’re the victims, really.
