Luke Akehurst claims that the faction he is part of, that wrecked, lied & smeared in order to regain control of the party, then ruthlessly purged the left & hollowed out the membership, & which now oversees a party polling at under 20%, has the best interests of Labour at heart

It's important to remember that no matter how awful the next government might be and how they might abuse these powers.

Never forget that this current government are also terrible bastards who will definitely abuse these powers too.

Of course not ; the terrorists are in the white house & the meat heads doing their dirty work are getting the crumbs from their relentless grifting & keep voting for them

Let's talk about Corporate Welfare. Where companies posting record profits, year after year, pay their workers/serfs poverty wages that the government has to top up through Universal Credit. Seriously, let's talk about THAT.
Instead of talking about another failed Tory going to Reform and sucking all the air out of the room, could we talk about the poverty in the U.K.? The Tories broke it, Labour can’t fix it and Reform will only make them poorer. www.theguardian.com/society/2026...

Labour would prefer Reform to win than the Greens. That tells you who's side Labour is on. It's not ours.

The Labour Party is no longer a left wing party. The quicker their voters realise this and stop voting Labour the quicker we can really start to defend against Reform.
What's the outcome that terrifies Labour most in the Gorton by-election?

Reform winning?

Nope. It's the Greens they're most worried about.

They'd prefer Reform to win, rather than the Greens.

When we said NATO wasn't working we were derided.

When we said a nuclear weapons system relying on the US is dangerous we were called stupid.

The truth is the establishment are more interested in kissing US feet than keeping the UK safe.

It's time for a rethink.

Keir Starmer is a shameless coward. Labour are going full appeasement. The Labour Party is ensuring the UK is just a vassal state of the US.

That speech was like a kid watching a bully and clapping the bully on, just hoping the bully won’t come for them next.

Some people say Keir Starmer has been dealt a bad hand.

We're still in January and he's already signed a defence deal with Palantir - knowing full well how unpredictable and dangerous the US President is.

We're way past the point of giving pleading appeasement speeches.
