Deeply disappointed to hear that the BBC has pushed out one of the most brilliant presenters in all of science communication for speaking with integrity and honor in support of human rights and dignity.
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Fun fact: Placing an orange traffic cone on the hood of Waymo vehicles makes them stop where they are and they will not move until the cone is removed... Only saying this so that people know what not to do when they see a robo car driving by... Yeah...
Someone on the Minneapolis subreddit caught Waymos being delivered. We need the City Council need to ban the use of driverless cars. The technology isn't there. Our city cannot be a testing ground for 1.5 ton autonomous projectiles.

There is a lot of disagreement about what qualifies as a "burner phone," but learning to put together a device that protects your most sensitive data from surveillance and seizure by govts and law enforcement is good, actually.

1. In an alarming move, the Trump administration has banned trans coverage for federal employees and their families, including youth and adults.

It mandates faith-based conversion therapy coverage.

It is one of the largest removals of coverage in the US.

A trans person being in the same room as you is not a violation of your privacy. Demanding to know whether a person in a room with you is trans or not IS a violation of their privacy. It's endemic of how fucking far the needle has moved that this simple fact is so lost on so many people.

Don't let the bigots pathologize us.

Yes dysphoria kills. It sucks. Believe me, I know. But we are NOT our dysphoria and we are owed more than simply being trauma porn.

We deserve gender affirming care because we're human beings and bodily autonomy is a human right.

But Edgardo, whose arm was ripped from mine by ICE agents, has none of those things.

That's why I'll keep coming back to court, week after week, to make sure that people's rights are protected.
