As the backlash to generative AI in video games continues to pick up steam heading into 2026, it'll be fascinating to see what is considered "made with generative AI." Can a dev team say they're not using AI if they're writing design docs with Copilot or using chatGPT to make schedules and budgets?

That’s the thing man. If they are to be taken at their word the only takeaway is that there should be no black people in any job any other white person wants. One quick Google search for any of these jobs would show there are usually one or two minorities are best in a unit of 20 or 30 or more.
UAlbany, one of those, NY state universities, has been hovering around 4 percent tenure track Black faculty since ever. I am THE Black tenure track political scientists. These folks are just little liars.

I think I can say this much: the promises of AI have become a religion to a certain kind of Business Guy. See my post about LinkedIn below: the AI lovers think AI cannot fail, it can only be failed. No one at all is considering this a risk to the business and I think maybe they should!

Just saw a promoted LinkedIn post from Swiss Re: “Despite 80% of companies reporting they’ve adopted Gen AI, most are still waiting to see meaningful business impact.” The post does not arrive at the obvious conclusion, however!

This shit doesn’t work. Productivity falls off a cliff if you work much more than 40 hours in a week. And there is a huge difference between working extra for a couple days to finish something and doing it for weeks or months with no end in sight. I won’t buy this game.

Something to keep your eye on. Popular discourse is starting to turn against AI, so new frameworks are being built to continue selling it. We are about to see a flood of media that qualifies AI: “Gen AI” is bad and overhyped but “predictive” or “analytic AI” is responsible and good. +
