Disabled vets struggled to qualify for housing assistance because HUD counted disability benefits as income.
Today, the House passed the Housing Unhoused Disabled Veterans Act to change this. As an original co-sponsor, grateful we’re closer to getting more vets housing.

Needless to say, a core tension we’re seeing right now is between those who have a liberal definition of democracy (which can be modern or classical) who believe government works on behalf of all the people & right authoritarian populists who think it should work only for their faction.
