Basically the theme of Miller's entire Tweet, which he doesn't realize, is that fascism destroys one's technological base.

Miller's other claimed American inventions are also wrong. The automobile was invented by Karl Benz in Germany. And the rockets the US landed on the moon were designed by German ex-Nazi Wernher von Braun, who avoided trial for war crimes by coming to work for the US instead.

And Enrico Fermi was only in the US at all because of fascism - he fled Italy in 1938 to protect his wife Laura, who was Jewish, from Mussolini's racial discrimination laws. The same kind of laws that Miller wants so badly to impose in the US, to make Hispanics second-class citizens.

It's good to correct Miller's lies. Don't let him sanitize or inject propaganda in US history.
Immigrant-hating Stephen Miller talks about Americans being "first to harness the atom." But the first controlled, self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction was conducted by a team led by Italian immigrant Enrico Fermi, who didn't become a U.S. citizen until a year and a half later.

This administration lied about the people it sent to an overseas torture prison. It lies about the people it’s deporting. It lies every day to gain political advantage. Not a chance in hell they won’t lie about huge swaths of people they suspect might vote for the other party.

JD Vance argues that having Muslims makes the UK and France too dangerous to have nukes, which will be great for US relations with India and Pakistan.

So if you’re keeping track, the Trump administration’s position on nuclear arms is:
North Korea: cool, nonthreatening
France and UK: bad, dangerous
A case where the quote is even worse in context than out of context. JD is scaremongering about “Islamists” winning elections in the UK/France and then somehow militarily threatening the US. Saying we should hold Europeans and Africans to different moral standards but anti-wokely.

How are these fits of presidential incontinence never covered as their own news events in NYT? Hours of sick hateful bile from the curdled joyless leader of the Christian nationalists sitting in the ruins of the tinsel trimmed White House he’s demolishing — seems like a story to me.

Ben Shapiro is mounting a last stand against right-wing antisemitism. It’s not going well.
Megyn Kelly said Shapiro, not Tucker Carlson, is inflaming antisemitism.

The party of “national security”
Symbolic air strikes, whether in Syria or Nigeria, will not defeat ISIS. Many of Trump’s other actions, from cutting foreign aid to trying to eliminate online moderation, are actually undermining the struggle against ISIS and other terrorist groups. As i just wrote: wapo.st/4qrV8U5

The party of “national security”
Things are going great when the President of the 🇪🇺 is subtweeting the 🇺🇸 about the need to defend the territorial integrity of our NATO allies.
Arctic security remains a key priority for the European Union, and one in which we seek to work with allies and partners.

Territorial integrity and sovereignty are fundamental principles of international law.

I never again want to hear about how the Republican Party is the party of national security. You don’t incinerate our diplomatic capacity & violate all of our treaty commitments if you care about national security.
Context for Trump withdrawing dozens of ambassadors
*China has invested heavily in expanding diplomacy
*The US has significantly degraded soft power
*The US already has scores of diplomatic vacancies
